What is Coaching?
Core Concepts of Coaching
Guidance Over Instruction
Instead of giving direct advice or teaching, a coach asks powerful questions to help individuals discover their own solutions.
Future-Focused
The process centres on goal-setting, action steps, and moving forward.
Partnership
It relies on a trusted, structured conversation between the coach and the client (or coachee).
My Structured Approach to Growth
First Session
Spend time getting to know each other. Identify your goals and agree on how the partnership can work best.
Ongoing Sessions
60 minutes each, twice a month over three months. Virtual video calls and support through email.
Final Sessions
Spend time reflecting on your coaching journey, celebrating achievements, and planning where you go from here.
-
No solution to your problem will be as effective or impactful as one you arrive at on your own.
Coaching provides space where, as equals, we navigate what you are working with, time to think, questions to challenge that thinking and room to transform your approach going forward.
-
Coaching qualifications, training and best practice centre on the same techniques and tools. However, this doesn’t mean you get the same service from one coach to the next.
All coaches bring their own individual experience, temperament, communication style, history and stories. Whilst these won’t show up in the sessions directly (this space is for you), it does mean that the style of coaching is unique to each coach.
